Postural Assessments
What Are Postural Assessments and Why Do They Matter?
At Werx Care, we believe that posture tells the story of how your body functions. Our Postural Assessments are a vital part of identifying the underlying causes of pain, imbalance, and dysfunction. By analysing how your body aligns and moves, we can detect stress patterns, compensations, and areas of muscular weakness that may be contributing to your symptoms — or limiting your performance.
- Forward head posture, rounded shoulders, or spinal misalignment
- Pelvic tilt or leg length discrepancies affecting gait and symmetry
- Muscle dominance, inhibition, or overcompensation patterns
- Restricted joint movement and structural imbalance
- Poor loading mechanics during walking, running, or lifting
- Postural fatigue caused by desk work or sedentary routines
How Does It Help You?
- Creates precise treatment plans based on your unique movement patterns
- Targets the root cause of pain and prevents future injury
- Improves mobility, control, and long-term postural alignment
- Supports rehabilitation by correcting muscle imbalances
- Provides a clear baseline to measure improvement over time
Who Can Benefit?
- Clients with ongoing neck, back, hip, or knee pain
- Athletes looking to fine-tune movement and avoid injury
- Desk workers and professionals with poor posture or strain patterns
- People recovering from surgery or injury needing functional movement retraining
- Anyone feeling “out of alignment” or moving with restriction
We don’t just look at where it hurts — we look at why it hurts. With a tailored postural assessment, we’ll help you restore alignment, reduce stress, and move more efficiently from head to toe.
What To Bring & Know?
- Wear loose, easy-to-move-in clothing — we may be adjusting limbs or testing movement.
- Hydrate before and after — particularly important when working with fascia and joints.
- Be open about how your body is responding — we’ll adjust techniques based on real-time feedback.
- You might feel like you've had a workout — and that’s a good thing. Soreness can happen after deeper or more technical work, but it should subside in 24–48 hours.
This isn’t just treatment — it’s physical problem-solving. By combining hands-on muscle work with clinical mobility techniques, your session becomes a full-system tune-up, not just a rub-down.
If you’re serious about your performance, recovery, or long-term movement health — this is the session for you.
